The Macallan A Night on Earth – The First Light is the fourth release in The Macallan’s A Night on Earth series, created to celebrate the arrival of the New Year and the first sunrise over New Zealand. This limited-edition single malt captures the warmth, joy, and togetherness of New Zealand’s summer celebrations through a beautifully designed presentation inspired by beaches, fireworks, bonfires, and the golden light of dawn.

Matured in a harmonious combination of Sherry-seasoned European and American oak casks, with a small proportion of former Bourbon casks, it offers a warm and fruity character while retaining The Macallan’s signature richness and elegance.

Nose:
Rich and inviting aromas of honey, caramel, vanilla, dried fruits, raisins, and gentle Sherry notes, complemented by subtle baking spices.

Palate:
Smooth and creamy, revealing sweet honey, caramel, vanilla, ripe fruits, raisins, and delicate oak, with a touch of warming spice.

Structure:
Rich yet approachable, balancing sweet fruit, Sherry influence, creamy vanilla, and gentle spice with a polished oak character.

Body:
Medium to full-bodied with a smooth, velvety texture and a warm, rounded mouthfeel.

Finish:
Long and warming, with lingering notes of honey, caramel, dried fruits, vanilla, and subtle spice.
